INDUSTRIES WE SERVE
In high-energy boiler and steam processing systems, overpressure protection demands zero seat leakage, immediate response times, and unyielding reliability in severe thermal environments.
Vestra Valve’s PARV Series is specifically engineered to survive aggressive steam, flashing fluids, and severe thermal cycling.
-
The PARV Series delivers reliable zero-leakage isolation before and after every cycle;
-
the quarter-turn operation ensures low wear and rapid open/close action;
-
and the large, unobstructed flow path delivers high-flow efficiency paired with advanced actuation and control systems to preserve and protect Code Safety Valves.
PRIMARY OPERATIONAL BENEFITS
Reduced Maintenance & Outage Times
Mechanical Safety Valves (Code Safety Valves) are prone to "simmering" (minor leaking) and
severe seat damage after lifting.
Vestra Valve’s PARV Series opens at an intermediate setpoint, preventing mechanical safety valves from ever reaching their "pop" threshold and eliminating costly maintenance and extended plant outages.
Enhanced Operator -Driven Control
Unlike spring-loaded Code Safety Valves— which react solely to physical system pressure—the PARV can be opened or closed by plant operators.
This capability is essential for venting superheaters during cold startups, controlling steam chemistry, or rapidly depressurizing the boiler during unexpected condition upsets.
TARGET APPLICATIONS
Superheater Outlets & Reheater Systems
Boiler Steam Drums & Heat Recovery Steam
Generators (HRSG)
Boiler Steam Drums & Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG)
High-Pressure Steam Headers & Main
Steam Isolation Overpressure Protection
Chemical & Petrochemical High-Pressure Vent Systems
Geothermal & Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) High-Temperature Loops

AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS
To meet varying customer scope requirements, the PARV Series is available as a bare-stem valve, an actuated unit, or a
complete, pre-tested turnkey overpressure protection loop—including controls, pressure transducers, and optional shop-
integrated upstream manual block valves.
IN-LINE REPAIRABILITY
Vestra Valve’s PARV Series features full in-line repairability, allowing for routine inspection and seating/sealing component replacements directly on-site without removing the valve body from the main steam piping.
